Fortunately this has only happened once in the last 10 years but if someone agrees to take a part and then drops out it really does mean that every scene they were involved with has to be re shot with a replacement actor..

If, as we often do to make the actors feel more comfortable, we use the actors real name for the character then all those scenes have to be re shot with a stand in.

It really does cause chaos.

Obviously illness etc cannot be predicted but please check to see if you have any holidays booked before taking a part in a Murder Mystery.
